ABOUT US

Surrey Clubs for Young People (SCYP)

We are a registered charity that works in Surrey and the South London boroughs of Merton, Sutton, Kingston, Richmond & Croydon.

Our mission is to ensure that young people can access these exciting and challenging opportunities that will support them to develop into active and confident young adults.

We believe that young people have the potential to make a positive contribution to their community, and to continue that throughout their lives.

Our vision is a society where young people are recognised for their potential and are engaged, supported and developed in order to achieve it.

Our volunteers, staff and trustees believe in supporting and equipping local communities to respond to the needs of their young people and to facilitate young people’s participation in decision making.

We support a large network of youth clubs and projects, and provide a programme of exciting and high quality activities for young people.

Being there

Above all, we believe in supporting the pivotal role of clubs in broadening horizons for young people by offering activity, opportunity and support that can enhance their lives.

Our work with clubs across Surrey provides opportunities for communities, their clubs and young people to thrive and flourish.

We empower clubs within communities by providing encouragement to address their problems and sourcing the tools they need to do it.

The assistance and support we offer club volunteers enables them to create spaces where young people can find the confidence and resilience to build better futures for themselves as young adults.
